Replacement of buoyancy tanks at the CPC-R terminal

At the end of 2022, «Beluga Projects Logistic» JSC successfully completed the project to replace buoyancy tanks at the CPC-R terminal. In the shortest possible time - within 3 weeks, all preparatory stages were completed: project development, obtaining relevant permits and approvals from regulatory authorities, mobilizing resources in Novorossiysk: machinery, equipment, MPSV, about 100 people. During the mobilization, 13 flights were made from 6 cities of the Russian Federation, more than 400 pieces of equipment were loaded on board the vessel.

The two buoyancy tanks (BT) replaced by us are the only BT replaced on the territory of the Russian Federation. The solutions applied in the project made it possible to complete the work in the shortest possible time, despite difficult weather conditions and restrictions caused by the 2022 sanctions. JSC «Beluga Projects Logistic» has applied a unique technology to produce works.

The technology of detaching the flange on the rocker, from 0, was developed by «Beluga Projects Logistic». The main advantages of this technology are: - Work at a depth of 35–40 meters instead of 60 meters - No need for expensive breathing mixtures for underwater technical work - Elimination of cantilever placement of the BT on the vessel - It was possible to avoid unscrewing and tightening additional 48 studs and 96 nuts under water.

The innovativeness and innovation of these works lies in their complexity. The project included: diving operations, lifting operations, hydraulic navigation, design, logistics, operation of the ROUUV robot, operation, and maintenance of the technological fleet, hydrotesting. Previously, in the Russian Federation, foreign contractors performed such a complex of works. This project has proven that our company has the highest level of specialists capable of solving any non-standard tasks.
